Got a good old flashing overdrive light on my 2000 F250, automatic 4wd. Trouble code shows stuck sensor, did not write down the code. My question is do I need to go ahead and start looking for replacement, or what do I need to do. Thanks for any information.
I tried getting a code with my obo reader it did not show a code.Do i need a newer one or different one.The nearest dealer is 100miles.My truck will not shift out of low it seems. Is there a way to try and reset? 2000 f250 diesel 4x4Thanks Jay
Almena is a little far for me to travel, I know there are quite a few Kansas member though. If it is a mechanical diode that has failed(one way sprag clutch) it is internal and the transmission will have to be rebuilt or replaced.
As far as code readers a great investment is AutoEnginuity, Riffraff Diesel: AutoEnginuity Total Ford Enhanced Bundle, it is a computer software that will perform many more diagnostics than a "code reader" will. And since our Engines are not OBDII compliant most cheap readers will not work. Truly a great investment.
Not usually, if there is a mechanic close they may be able to for a small fee, I know before I got mine a local shop would charge me $15 to pull codes.

I have no idea what a stuck sensor is. I can't think of a sensor that could get stuck. You'll need to get the code number, this description doesn't make sense.
Old thread I know! Just got my transmission rebuilt 700 miles ago. Jumped in truck headed 400 miles to Florida. I got out shut truck off for dinner. When I came back and fired it up, I got the OD flashing crap going on. Truck shifts a slight bit harder, I do know I have a b1237 code( rear wheel sensor ) could this be the cause?
