electrical question
On my 76 f-150, when I turn on my marker lights or head lights my left side turn signal arrow (in the dash) lights up....very very dim...barly noticable. if I put my flashers on or my left turn signal, it goes black (inbetween the green normal flashing)
Anyone ever had a similar problem? any recomendations of how to fix it (beside taking the bulb out)

you have a bad ground at either one of the park lites, or one of the tail lights. common problem, just clean all the grounds and it should clear up!
while you are cleaning grounds, be sure and check the sockets.

This sounds very much like a ground problem. If, after checking things out, you are convinced that the grounds at the bulbs are all good, check the wiring from the cab back to the taillights. I had a problem similar to yours and I first went looking for ground problems. But, I had also had the ground problem earlier and I had corrected it. This time, it wasn't a ground problem. Instead, somehow, the wire harness had shorted and burned about 1/2 way between the cab and the tailgate. All of the wires had shorted together once the burning was done. If I remember right, I had the symptoms you mention and the fuel gauge was also acting wacky. Sometimes it was pegged and other times it read empty regardless of how much fuel was in the tank.
