Explorer radio problem

Hello, I just traded in a 2001 sporttrac for a 2001 4 door explorer. I have the same thing wrong with this one. When it is wet or damp out, the radio light flickers dim-bright constantly. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated. I know I can't be the only one with this problem. Thank You,

If you have automatic headlights they might be cycling on and off in overcast weather, which will alter the brightness of your radio lights. Headlights on, dim radio. Headlights off, bright radio.

I am having a similar problem. i have 2001 Ford Sport Trac. When I turn on the head lights, my digital compass, outside temp console, radio and dash lights start to dim in and and out. When this happens, I can move the dimmer switch around and get the lights bright again but it will eventually dim out again. Today i pulled the dash apart to take a look at the dimmer switch but it does not look like a part I can clean or repair. I hate to replace a part that might not be bad. Any here have any suggestions?
