I have never had to do this yet, but what all do i have to do when replacing the fuel injectors on my 95 inline 6 (4.9) Is it simple as unhooking the clip and unscrewing the injectors. Or is there something else i need to know before doing this?
I'm not sure about unscrewing them, the ones I've seen, you unbolt the fuel rail and pull it off and the injectors simply pull out. Atleast thats how it is on my V8. One thing you should know, though, is that they cost about 50 bucks apiece!

Just pull the upper intake off and remove the fuel rail. They just float in Oring, so just pull them out. You can get aftermarket ones for alot less $14-$15 a piece. I would recommend 19lb injectors and an adjustable fuel regulator, these are stock mustang size and easy to find.
Would i need anything else? 19lb fuel injectors and an adjustable fuel regulator?? This going on a Pickup f-150. I was courious if I could go with a bigger injector and get a little more power.
The hardest part is modifing the Fuel regulator to work right, I bought a set of 8 mustang take off's off of Ebay for $50 for a set of 8, also the regulator was $40. With gaskets it cost me a $100. I didnt put a guage on mine, I just set my pressure at 40psi and it ran great.
Ok, well I have all the injectors out. I tested each one with a OHM meter and everyone is at 14.7. So is there a way to test them now that there out? What are my alternatives?
Mr.JP; go to google and type in JectorRate then open the listing by Bowling and Grippo. You must do flow amount as well as spray pattern after the injectors are cleaned. If the injectors come out "matched set" and the engine is in good mechanical health it will surprise you how smooth it'll run. Check out, www.injectors4U.com or www.cruzinperformance.com. Had friends that used injectors4U, very satisfied customers. I assembled a JectorRate pulser, it works great and you can test your own injectors. Hope this helps, Carl. ........................................o&o>...... ..............
