I owned a 2000 Blazer. I really liked the new Trailblazer when it first came out. My wife never really liked the Blazer (black interior and too small). So, when she wanted to trade it in, we test drove the Trailblazer. We both felt that the front seat area was the same as the Blazer and the space behind the back seat was actually smaller than the Blazer. We then test drove a 2003 Explorer. There was no space comparison between the two. The Explorer is much bigger inside with more cargo space behind the back seat. We also felt it had a quieter and smoother ride. We purchased the Explorer and were very happy with it.
The Explorer changed us from GM-only truck owners to Ford-only truck owners. We recently purchased a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew and couldn't be happier.
