I need help with this one. I have tested everything from fuel presure to MAF. I have also replaced both O2 sensors. The code keeps on coming back with a 176 "heated Exhuast gas oxygen (HEGO) sensor-voltage sigal indicates :lean: Left side. It also do not have a lot of power. It was pinging but with better gas the pinging has all but gone except under a hard accel.

Vacuum leak of some sort, maybe? at the lower intake manifold? Just throwing out an idea.

20 in Hg? Sounds reasonable to me. If that's the only vacuum check you've done, though, I'd go through and check connections and the lower intake manifold bolts as well. The lower intake manifold bolts in particular are notorious for coming loose. Then you get a very small vacuum leak which causes the engine to run lean.

I remember an old mechanics trick for detecting an air leak on intake manifold gaskets. It involved squirting a little oil around the intake ports and checking exhaust for teltale white smoke from the combusting oil being sucked into the engine.
I am not sure if it will work on a catalytic converter equipped vehicle though. I think the cats will burn the hydrocarbons from the oil and you may not see the smoke.
It may work on a cold engine before the cats have time to heat up and burn the oil smoke off.

Thanks, I will try that tomorrow before I start running the car. I have also been told to use a carb spray can. They said to start the engine and let it idle. Then take the carb cleaner and spray it around the intake and if the engine idle pick up in speed you have a leak at that point.
