When it rains my cruise control will not maintain a steady speed. It feels as if the brakes are being applied then released then applied. You can not maintain a smooth ride without the stop-n-go feeling.
When the weather is dry there is no problem with the cruise control working properly. What does wet cement or rain have to do with the cruise control?
My guess is that when it rains, something in the speed control circuit gets wet and is messing up the signal getting fed back to the PCM.
Since it's underneath the vehicle where it gets the wettest, I would start with the vehicle speed sensor, which is mounted on the tranny (4x2) or transfer case (4x4). Pull off the electrical connector and take a look, maybe even clean up the pins and connectors on the plug. In fact, you should look over the entire wire harness running to/from the sensor while you are under there.
