I dip, and have been doing it since I was 14 or so. I quit for 4 years once about 10 years ago and then picked it up again one night while having a few cool ones and playing poker.

Stupid stupid move

I tried copenhagen when I was trying to quit smoking...

I was driving home from Phoenix, it's about a 4 hour trip and I needed some nicatine (sp) so I stoped and got a can of chew and hit the road... it lasten about 1/4 of a mile before I pulled over, spit the crap out, and bought a pack of cigarettes

You picked some mighty strong stuff to try for the first time. I still get an occasional buzz when I take a dip of that in the morning.

I started dipping. Probably the best thing the Army gave me.

I usta love the buzz, but now, unfortunatly, I seem immune. I just like the flavor.
I'm mostly into Skoal, but have to change it up to Cope, Griz, or whatever.

'Long as it's "straight".

No, but I talked to a company that made titanium trays that screw into what's left of your jaw after surgery to remove mouth cancer. They put a piece of rib in there next to the bloody stump of the jaw and it grows and will fill the tray with bone, if everything goes right. Patooey.

26 now, been chewing since I was 19. Started with Timber Wolf and Copenhegen, but couldn't rationalize paying 4 bucks a can. Now I go to dirt cheap and get whatever's there in 2-for-1-cans; used to be Silver Creek (nasty), then Rooster for a while, but it's been Red Seal for 7 months now. My wife made me quit for 6 weeks to get the non-smoker rate for life insurance; first 2 days sucked, after that, it wasn't too bad. Quit again for a month just to see if I could. Came to the realization that if I really wanted to, I could, I just don't want to. I am of the firm belief that cancer just doesn't run in some people's genes; my grandpa chewed long leaf tobacco from the time he was 13 until he was 81, then just quit because he stopped getting the discount from the local smoke shop, and never had any sign of cancer. My dad'd been chewing and smoking (slowed down the smoking due to emphysema starting) since he was 13, and he's 56 now, with no signs of cancer. I've always said that if he start showing signs of cancer, I'll quit, and I will. Just had a little boy, so when he gets older and starts wanting to act like a big boy and have a chew, I'll quit.

I didn't get a buzz, infact nothing happened, except if left me with a terrible after taste for the next few hours.

I got copenhagen because my boss chewed it, so I figured why the hell not, if nothing else I can pass it off to him. And I did.

yea when my daughter came along i started thinking about how i wanted to be there for her and be alive to see her graduate etc....i already have her mustang in the works...id like to be there to show her how to drive it....hell in 16 years itll be a classic (20 years old is a classic around these parts) i couldnt stand the cheaper stuff like cougar or timber wolf....the WORST stuff i ever did was High Country "whiskey flavor" i put that stuff in my mouth and almost immedately vomited....it was the most vile, foul stuff i had ever put in my mouth....that rooster was pretty bad....and i cant stand it unless its "Straight" like Copenhagen...but it has been 3 weeks for me yesterday i have quit and i really dont miss it....thank God i finally got rid of it for good

I dip, pretty much anything and everything. Poison of choice is Copenhagen Black (bourbon flavored). Nasty habit, I'll quit one of these years...
