The left rear window on my '93 Explorer XLT is stuck in the 'down' position - a big problem with severe storms predicted later for today!
All three other power windows work and the fuse is intact. I have an extra power window motor and plugged it into the harness and it does not work either. The same spare motor works when plugged into the other power window harnesses. Any ideas as to why I would suddenly lose power to this window (the power lock still functions for the left rear passenger door)?
Found it! The power up wire was broken just beneath the wire harness attached to the door frame. With everything so 'tight' within the door frame, it was not apparent until is started pulling the harness loose. Of course, the wire is broken right next to the connector - no room for splicing. I don't think that there is enough room to even solder the wires together - I guess I'll be buying a new connector. At least I got the window up by holding the wires together.
