1st off, I'm having issues with my 95 regular cab drivers side power window not going all the way down. The window stalls about 3" from the bottom and then I have to "help" it go the rest of the way.
Secondly, I have a 93 L that I have stripped most everything off of and I would like to remove the drivers side door window and track to install in my 95. The problem is that the window is all of the way up and I have no idea how to get it down. There is a wiring harness to the window motor and switches. All that is left of the truck is the doors and cab, no front end, no front harness, no nothing.
So the question is: How do I get the glass/track/motor out?
Since you need the whole works might as well dismantle the door. Remove the inside panel and plastic seal and drill out the rivets holding the regulator assembly to the door. Prop the window glass up with a stick so it doesn't drop when you remove the regulator, and then lower the glass into the door when it's out of the way. Now unbolt the vent window and pull it forward at the top so the glass drops out of the front track and you can remove it from the door.
