The main trick to getting tire spin on a manual is clutch control, you have to slip it to raise the rpm's and preload the drivetrain, and when the r's are high enough, you let the clutch go, and you have spin, but it will not be in one place, just laying it down as you take off. If you have enough juice in front, it will lay it down hard, otherwise, you'll be looking like the kiddies. Haven't broke one yet, and I like to play once in a while, but I have'n'y even tried it with my 86, although I'm sure it could do it, just cringe at the thought of those load E's burning away like that...
