I have noticed before when I started my truck it would smoke for a while until warm I guess but now I don't see any smoke at startup. I guess it could have to do with cold and hot days but the smoke I seen was smoke and not moisture on a cold morning.

Sounds like you have some bad glow plugs or bad UVCHs
It was white. I did replace glow plugs but i have done a bunch of stuff since then and did not do any driving while I made all the changes. I find it weird I don't see it any more.

I checked to make sure they are plugged in, I have not tested them yet. I think my post was not clear sorry. The truck runs good. The smoke was after it started. I would have it and now it does not smoke after it starts. It seemed odd to me and was trying to figure out of there could be another issue that may cause it. Perhaps a bad connection like you mentioned.

If you replaced the glow plugs and are not seeing the smoke now that is good, they are working now. I need new plugs as I get some smoke on a 70 degree day.

Yes, you have to test them. They are Very common to get overheated from the extreme amps the GPs pull and melt the connectors at the UVCHs, VC gasket and pigtail where it plugs into the VC gasket
