I know a while back someone on here was asking about the weight of a 46 ford pickup and after some replies the closest wieght they got was for a 46 with a 6 cylinder and a half a tank of gas weighing in at about 3000 pounds. I was just wondering if anyone has found out anything more about that subject? Is 3000 the closest we got or did someone find any other info and maybe get the exact weight of the pickup?
My apologies, to you and me. I looked back through my posts and found the one on 46 weight. 46fordtruck did a weigh-in with a 6 cylinder and the 1/2 tank of gas at 3000 lbs. That means I have more work to do than I thought.
The 3000 lbs was my weigh in weight when I got my truck registered. In Ca all "commercial" vehicles are required to be weighed to be registered. It was weighed on a CA certified truck scale. 2950-3000, it's all pretty close, but figure around those figures.
No need to apologies Mike, that number is close enough and I appreciated the replies. 3000 pounds with the 6 cylinder and 1/2 a tank. Ill just go look up the difference in weight between the 6 and 8 and add it to it. Thanks again for all the help.
