T 86 Overdrive transmition
i have a 61 ford F 100 and the transmition went
out. The replacement will not work. I need a "t86" 3 speed Overdrive transmitiom out of a Ford F 100. Perferably from 61 but anything will work. Any body have one or know a good place to get one? I'm in Portland, Oregon

I am the one with the OD for sale. The classified system never sent ANY responses to me. I did not know there was any interest until yesterday afternoon and I posted my contact information in the forum. You can get to me at cjdoyle1*attglobal.net
I am going to check on the weight tonight and try to figure shipping charges in the next day or two. If anyone has a good suggestion on the best carrier to use, I would appreciate the information.

Make sure when you buy a replacement, that it has the slip joint in the transmission.
Or, be ready to make driveline changes.
The other OD transmissions found in F-100s (up to '72) have the U-joint coupler, with a slip joint in the middle of th driveline.
