That was funny!! Especially the Avalanche part. The ugliest car on the road, now days has got to be the Scion. What were they thinking? I never thought people would be attracted to ugliness, but it seems that they are. It must be some fashion statement, but I'll take my truck anyday over a Scion.
The front of the Nissan truck is the ugliest thing Ive ever seen. I wonder who desighns these things. I could do lot better than that and I know nothing
Forgot about those two. Gotta love Toyota's genius idea of putting the speedometer in the middle of the dash so the passengers mom can make sure her 15 year old with the learners permit isn't speeding.
Well, you guys get ready. Get a good metal Ford, Chevy, or even a Dodge truck while you can. All the kids of America love these little ugly scamps of cars. It just makes me sick. I remember when extended cab was non-existant and crewcab only came on the 3500 trucks. The way it looks in 40 or 50 years everything will be a suv with no bed because beds just keep getting shorter and shorter. The term truck will mean an Expedition.
The Element and Aztek are bad, but the Avalanche is just as bad. Note to carmakers: we don't like grey plastic cladding. If you want to make a panel dent resistant, fine, but paint the thing body color for the love of Pete.
Amen!!! I want thick sheet metal, chrome bumpers, and a REAL frame!!!
And how about those little tires on the Avalanche?!? It would look a lot better with some 33's or 35's IMO. Obviously the market for the Avalanche is small as Ford and Dodge have not yet made their own version.
27,293 Avalanches sold in the U.S. up until the end of April (the latest sales figures that I can find). At the same time, Ford had sold 279,187 trucks and Chevrolet had sold 207,891 trucks, just to give you a perspective of how small the market for the Avalanche is.
I do agree about the plastic on vehicles thing, that's so bad. I hate to see a Navigator with a sticker of well over 50 grand and it has this plastic all over the front of it. Plastic looks cheap and doesn't make me feel safe at all.
First, I want to know who at Ford decided to hire the ex-GM designer that has the plastic cladding fetish. Looks like crap IMO. Even GM was smart enough to drop it from their vehicles.
Now, for the scary part: I was looking around/under our new Expedition and behind the plastic "bumpers" is nothing but styrofoam- just like your beer cooler is made out of. Sure do miss the REAL trucks of days gone by.
