i have a 89 bronco with 302 only starts w/ map sensor unpluged .i am not getting any codes runes fine in park as soon as you put it in gear it kills and wont start for about an hour if you plug the map in wile running it kills replaced map sensor,cap,rotor,pluges,module,tps,wires,fule pumps,timing chane,gears,fule relay,computer and still doing the same thing brought it to 3 different techs they have no idear please help thanks

 

is the ecu new? if not that could be your whole problem. now tell me why you replaced all of those things, what were your problems in the beginning? there is also a fuel cutoff switch located under the passenger side dash area. this could be malfunctioning .

 

It shouldn't start with MAP sensor unplugged, as far as I know. Maybe somethings wrong with the wiring going to the map sensor.

 

the ecu is not new.all of the things i replaced needed to be replaced except the tps and computer. i am getting 43 lbs of fule pressure now was getting 10 lbs still no go. i talked to a tech at a ford dealer he seem to think it is the ats (air temp sensor) he is coming to check it tomorrow i will let you know .
