Anybody remember a show from the Sixties called, "It's About Time"? It was about a couple of astronauts that went through a time warp and ended up back in time with some cavemen. I can still remember part of the theme song, but I've never encountered anyone else who remembers the show. I loved it as a kid, would probably find it stupid now. Same thing with the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". I watched it a few years back and wondered what I ever saw in it as a kid. -TD

now, i have always liked chitty chitty bang bang, mostly because i started a facination with mechanical things at a young age. i just rented it for my kids last month and i sat and watched it too.
well, dan, you may have just dated yourself. i don't remember that show about the astronauts. but here you go: http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet...t/showid-6357/
if that link doesn't work, go to TVTOME.com and type "it's about time" in the search box.
Yup, that's it! Far out! (Wow, I really am dating myself!) And I'll have to try Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again, maybe like fine wine, it's gotten better with age! I did love the car, for the same reasons as you. Always liked mechanical things, I even tried to build a model of it out of junk and scrap. Never did finish it, story of my life.... -TD
I used to carry a Waltons lunch pail. What was I thinking? I loved "Here Come the Brides" Bobby Sherman was such a babe. My fav show was always "Emergency" I put Randy Mantooths picture next to Bobbys. Do y'all remember Gentle Ben & HR Puffenstuff?
Jeeze, qhmom, you must be as old as I am, talk about dating yourself! My sister was a Bobby Sherman fan, never missed that show, I found it a yawn, myself. Loved Emergency though, but not for the same reasons as you, apparently! I remember Gentle Ben, and HR Puffenstuff as well, I found it on Nick or TVland aweek or so ago, could only stomach it for about 3 minutes. I loved the Adams Family and the Munsters, that was more my speed, and of course the original Star Trek, that used to drive my dad nuts if he came into the room when the opening credits were rolling and heard that line, "To boldly go where no man has gone before". He'd holler about that being a split infinitive, and why don't they fix it. He's a teacher, so things like that really get to him. Well, that and he's **** retentive! -TD
Dennis, did you read posts 16, 17, and 18? I asked about the very same show and equium put up an excellent link that takes you right to it, theme song and all! Or are you just havin' me on?! -TD
Combat! when it's on. Seems like the UHF channel that runs it rotates it every few years.
12 O'Clock High--I think that's been on....can't recall when.
RE: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang---you are gonna bust a gut when you see Jim Carrey in one of his Ace Ventura: Pet Detective flicks, singing this as he thrashes, I say thrashes the living daylights out of a Land Rover.
A vicious thrashing, I must say. But I dare you to try the parking manuever.
Oh, that one frosted me, because I'm into Land Rovers as well as Fords (and other bizarre vehicles) What a waste of a perfectly good Land Rover! Almost as bad as the Governator trashing that Sunbeam in Commando! -TD
