I've got one, they actually sold pretty well that year IIRC, since rumors were (correctly) that a car-based one would replace the Aerostar, and many still wanted the RWD. That's why my parents (the original owners) bought it, and why I keep it.
93 right here, 93 acualy seems like a pretey common year, that and 89 are alot of what i see people talking about, mabe its just me, and i dont see to many older models around like 97's
There are probably more 93's than any other year. Ford was looking to drop the Aerostar for the replacement Winstar. They found the market still wanted the larger rear drive van. What they ended up doing was to continue to build 93's into the fall when the 94's where out. I think it was dec 93 or Jan 94 before they finally did drop the 93 and put out a 94 model year. I had a 93 with a build date of October 93. It really should have been a 94 built that late. They continued to sell Aerostars along side of its Windstar replacement till 97. One of the only differences between the 93 and 94 was the addition of the 3rd brake light in the top of the hatch.

That's interesting. I have a 93 (don't know the build date off hand, but it was bought in the summer of 93), and it has the third brake light in the top of the hatch.
If i remember correctly there were two differences (very miniscule) between 93 and 94 The ignition switch is chrome on the 93 and on the 94 they added the brake light at the top of the rear hatch and painted the ignition switch black.

lol. I must have an oddball then. I already mentioned the third brake light, but my ignition switch is black too.
