Right off hand, I would say-
Image Dynamics horns and midbasses
Adire Shiva subs
Hifonics or JBL 1200 watt mono amps, one for each sub
Hifonics amp for the horns and midbasses.
Audiocontrol eq
KnuKoncepts wiring
go pioneer cd head unit with xm
rockford 6x9 or something to that affect
rockford punch amp
jl audio 15 inch sub
2 jl audio 10 inch subs (lower bass)
with some small tweeters in the front
add amps to your tweeters and your 6x9's if u choose
i agree with the pioneer head unit
for the subs id go with 4 15" kicker solobarics L7's
the amp i would have to go with the kicker sx900.2 for each sub
the tweeters and the mid base drivers id probley go with the kicker ss set
and you could add amps to them if you felt the need
theres a stereo shop next to where i work and i'm pretty good friends with the guys there. They built a box for a guy to house 4 swiss audio 12's(not sure about specifics) and a big @$$ amp. They said the thing hits 148db. Its crazy, i was standing next to it when he had it 3/4's of the way up and i though the lid was going to go flying off the explorer. i never asked the guys how much he spent on all of it.
Headunit- Doesnt really matter. A $200 Pioneer is the same as a $200 Alpine, Kenwood, etc. Most people cant tell the difference in sound. Just look at features you want.
Put them in either homemade kickpanels or Q-Logic premades. Finding a good quality set of co-axials or putting them in the doors will drop the price a little more, but with a drop in imaging.
Subs, I still say Adire, which will blow RFs and Kickers out of the water both in SPL and SQ. Otherwise, look at
Of course, a little price shopping or lurking on Ebay will probably help you save a few bucks. I figure under $1000 for everything, including wiring, if you build your own enclosure and kickpanels, or put the speakers in the doors, there is nothing wrong with that. Check out knukoncepts for wiring, or put your own set together.
Also, spend as much as possible on damping sheets, and do the whole cab, if possible. Much cheaper than Dynamat at partsexpress.com

6x9s
No offense, but why would you use 2 10s for "low bass", when the 15 would go lower then the 10s? Use one or the other, not both. You wouldnt hear the 10s over the 15.

when he said low bass he meant it as sound quality. Not bass that is so loud you can't here the music. Like home theater systems have seperate subs to handle the low. the other 5/6 speakers can handle bass but the sub will put out much better quality bass, because its made for it.
Which doesnt answer my question. You dont think a 15 and 2 10s would have "bass that is so loud you can't hear the music."? The 15 will put out the bass the 10 will, AND go lower. Using the 10s as midbasses would be ok, but JLs are not really made for that. But they would not go lower than the 15. Im not claiming to be an expert, but its just common sense telling me this. There is a reason SQ winners dont have more than 1 size of sub, unless one set is for SQ and one set for SPL.
Well personally id get a new deck first. The extra power will make a big difference in your stock speakers. Go ahead and get new speakers your going to blow the stock ones. Spend the extra cash and get boston acoustics the full range coaxials will do you fine, expecially if your asking these questions. The NX series is great, quality and performance is great.
Make sure that you get a deck that has built in highpass filters in it. that way you dont have a bunch of extra crap in your truck.
As for a sub... everyone is biased. I had a 15 in cerwin vega in my jeep and now i have a 12 in Rockford He2 series in my single cab f150. The 12 hits so much harder that the 15. If I had the choice I would seriously go for 2 10's, they hit harder and being worried about how low they go. all subs can go way past what you can hear.
most importantly do your reasearch on the RMS ratings of the speakers and the amps. RMS is what you care about the MAX rating of them is dumb. make sure that these ratings correlate.
if u want quality and not that ****ty bum bum sound u will have a mix of sizes, i have a 10 and a 15... i can hear all the diff ranges of the sound and i have won numerous awards at smaller sterio competitions... yes i do have 6x9's as well as components.. plz dont lecture me... im trying to help the guy out with an awsome system for under $10,000 like you were aming for
