Shake Rattle & Roll

I have a 1993 F-350 non turbo 4 x 4 crew cab 8 ft box, (boy is it long), I have developed a severe shake, it happens when I slow down or if I am going 45 and under and hit a large bump, all of a sudden the front end stats shaking like everything is falling apart, I have to slow down almost to a complete stop for it to quit shaking. I have installed new shocks and that only helped ever so slightly. Any ideas before I start throwing parts at it?

Being an F-350 does it have the solid front axle? First check it out for any worn joints. Then I would get the front end alignment checked, paying close attention to the caster angle. There's my 2 cents.

Sounds like some ball joints and tie rod ends are worn out.
Steering dampener may be shot as well.
A good alignment shop will find all these problems.

I have the ball joints and the tie rod ends that I will get changed in the next few days, I am not familiar with a steering dampener, what is that and how would I check it?
