I'm interested in them brining back the LandRover Defender 90. Back when they were importing them in the early '90's I was interested in one. I still them driving once in a while but never for sale.

I agree, a full-size Bronco on the Superduty 250 chassis with a short wheelbase would be nice. I doubt it will happen though, not enough consumer demand for it. They could probably shorten up an Excursion by a foot and a half as long as they still kept it 4-door and sell a few though.

I'm not very excited about the Bronco concept as they have it now though. It's small, but that's about the only thing it has in common with the original '66-'77 Bronco, other than it's looks. Functionally, it's a step in a different direction from the original. Needs to be basic, straightforward and capable of heavy duty off road activity to capture the attention of the early-Bronco crowd. This Concept is merely a 'poser'.

Im still having trouble finding a picture of the concept bronco without the top on. Can someone post the link?

Thanks.

p.s. As for my opinion of the new concept; I like it, and think its got a lot of potential. But I definately can understand the people that say it needs a v8/ solid axle/ lockers etc.

However, I think everyone can agree that it is a good thing that Ford is exploring its options for a new truck/suv. Lets face it, the explorer and expedidition are nice but there is for sure room in the market for another more 'bare bones' suv to compete with the jeeps etc.

what they need to do is cut out the middle section of an excursion and put a removable top on it. solid axles all the way around too.

Solid axles, 250 chassis, not gonna make it for the everyday user. To stiff, to rolly, a f150 set up like always would work. Us hard cores can always find a way to do solid axles if we want, or 250 upgrade. Never did understand why so many people want to loose the front ends, but then would kill for a hummer, which i all independant. As far as those pics, i think its ugly, it looks like a range rover, i want a bronco, not a rover that says bronco on the front.

If I had the money, dont get me wrong, I'd buy one. but IF it gets into production, I have a feeling it will come with a very big price tag.
