Steering Column Removal - How To
I have a 1988 F150. Recently when I tried to start it, it would not start unless I tilted the steering column down one notch. Now it will not start at all no matter how the wheel is tilted. I was able to get it home via a remote start switch, so I am pretty sure the steering column is the problem (not the starter or solenoid). I am thinking about getting a steering column from our local junkward and replacing my existing column. The problem is, I cannot find any manual or online site that shows how to remove and replace the steering column. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
