02 tranny question
One of my 02 explorers is kind of acting up. Every now and then prob. every 500 miles the trans. feels like is slips. It will jump gears, make a strange noise and then it is fine. It has 55 k on it. If anyone has this problem or knows what is going on then all info will be greatly appreciated. I still HATE the fact of no dipstick. I sure do hope this will not be the future.

Bring out wallet, remove money. Start saving up for your $2600 trip to trannyville. Run, don't walk, to a tranny place NOW and see if it's just an adjustment, filter, whatever. DO not let it go. If it's the adjustment etc, you may save it. If it pies, look out.

Seriously, elsewhere on FTE I've seen postings where guys were having tranny trouble and it was an adjustment. Scroll on down the to the Tranny/axle threads and look for Exploder stuff. You might get lucky.....
