I don't think you can work 6x9's into your truck. The openings are for 6x8 (some manufacturers call it 5x7 as well) for front and backs. You could also swing 5 1/4 components, with a mounting plate.
Not sure about the depth. I went out to Crutchfield.com and got a list of speakers that should fit. I think you have a very deep recess since their website lists just about every 6x8 out there.
I was wondering if anyone knows how much depth there is to work with in the rear speakers.

also, will 6x9's fit in either the front or rear?
My installer told me to install 6x9's. I declined and went with 6x8's. He told me they would fit, and I didn't want some Mickey Mouse hack job. After the install I was very happy with my choice.

Mine suggested the same. The 5x7 or 6x8 will sound great, just get a good speaker.
Those speakers will come alive when you amp them. Total difference. Good luck. Hey, if you replaced all 4 stockers may I suggest a Fosgate amp like I installed. Its a 4 channel 301 and I think it's 65x4 and it jams. Under $125 online. I have had nothing but good results out of mine. Others will have there favorites as well. My 2 pennies...

Memphis, Rockford, Alpine, Kenwood, Lanzar ... all decent amps some a bit more pricey than others, but IMO all very good choices. My 6x8's jam I've got 600 watts running to the four, sounds great for only having 4 speakers. Good Luck.
