Alright, my rear window button on the front control panel broke. I am sure it is the connection to the switch, so i want to know how in the world i get to the back of that switch. For example, like how do i take off the whole dash to get to the switch?? Thanks so much.
What year? On a 1990, remove the headlight and wiper switches, and pull that one panel off. It just pulls straight off and snaps back into place. Then you can get to the switch. That switch can be repaired, I've done it several times, by carefully bending the contacts inside. It's trial and error - if you bend them too far then the rear key switch will be open and not work.
Or you could get a new switch. Mine is worn out and I am not going to repair it again, although I have been doing this about twice a year for the past 3 years. Next time I am going to replace it.
Does anyone know if Ford still stocks them and what they cost?
