looking to purchase new sound system.not interested in real loud or lots of bass, mainly imaging where it sounds like different instruments are coming from different locations.2002 f-150 screw .any help greatly appreciated.
For imaging I would go with 2 good sets of components speakers. I personally have alpine type R's. They are very clean and you can find a set for about $150. The problem is your truck I belive has 6x8's and I think kicker sales components in that size. hope I helped.
thanks for response, but the system i am thinking of would include, alpine cda-9833 head unit, kick panels with alpine alpine type x spx-137a's and rockford fosgate punch p1525's in rear door's.anyone have system similar to this?
I would look at replacing all the speakers and removing anything stock for the sound system. I recently removed the speakers from my 02 Ranger, and what Ford uses for stock is garbage IMO.
Now your F-150 may have better stock, but if you can afford it, replace them. You'll be much happier with the sound from them even for fill, since you're going for sound quality and not just pure quantity.
