Custom hood

Does anyone know where I can get a custom hood (fiberglass or steel) for my truck. I've seen them for 80 on up but none for a 73-79. I have found an entire glass tilt frontclip but the hood is part of the clip. (www.usbody.com) But all I want is the hood. Anyone seen one?

do a forum search for fiberglass hood. someone found one a while back, but was very unhappy with the fit and construction.

These guys do great work: http://www.up22.com Just ordered a 3" cowl induction hood for a friends GMC and it turned out great. Are you looking for cowl induction or some other type of custom hood? I picked up a 6" CI fiberglass scoop on ebay for under $100 and then put it on a spare hood. I used fiberglass resin to blend the edges and then took it to a buddy to get it finished. I'm still waiting as he tends to be a little bit slow. You can get all kinds of other scoops too.

I'm looking for a twin scoop setup, like the Shelby GT500 or the Olds 442. A cowl hood just doesn't look as tough to me as a thick twin scoop and I plan on running ram air through it one day and scoops are more effective and it will be easier to isolate the air cleaner.
