MLPS Replacement

I finally broke down and purchased a new MLPS for my crazy-shifting Bronco. In the instructions and also in the Haynes manual it says I need some special tool from Ford for adjustment. Is this something I will need to buy or can I get around that? Any installation help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Aaron

You don't need a tool. Just put the tranny in neutral and line things up like so before bolting it down (thanks to Steve83 for the pic):
