What is an "MLPS" switch
I have a 1991 F250 with a 460 and the E4OD tranny. It is in the tranny shop (again) and this time they need to replace the MLPS(I think that is right) switch. I was just wondering if any of you guys could tell me what it does.

From Haynes manual...
Manual Lever Position Sensor
It appears to be on the drivers side of the tranny And I would guess sends a signal to the computer or tranny telling what position the shift mechanism is in.
