Oil filter cap
Tim, didn't you say Oilguard had an aluminum oil filter cap? I looked on their site and falied to find it. I just got my new HMFC cap delivered and realized that it is identical to the oil filter cap. Like they would interchange. And aluminum HMFC cap would be nice.

You know about the one that OilGuard originally makes, they took the stock one and installed their oil fitting in the top of the stock unit, that cap is now being made in aluminum, anodized in black, blue and red.
I do not believe it is on their site give them a call.
I never thought about the interchange capability...could be cool. From a production point of view it would make sense for only one cap.

Almost too much sense, but while I was at the dealership getting the replacement cap, I compared a new oil cap with it and they appear identical. When I change my oil, I'll see if this one fits, if, so, I'm looking for aluminum.

That sounds really cool. If ya find the aluminum version of it please report back. I bet there is alot of guy's on this site that would love to get there own. If the HMFC cap is the same as the oil filter cap I would replace both of mine, I am not to crazy about the wonderful plastic stuff.

I am less than crazy about the plastic cap, especially when it started to cross-thread and took me out of service for 3 days.
