looking for differential serial numbers

By year is not how it works, numbers only describe type & spec data for differential.
But anyway, a FoMoCo OEM Factory Service manual, or good aftermarket repair like Motors or Chilton Pro Shop manuals have a list of ID#s for part & type for Ford rear ends. Hollanders has them also.
