Oh, if anyone can help, the Warranty # off the Door Jamb is E10TH387289. Other information that I can read includes: WB 090, Color A, Model E103, Body 87A, Trans A, Axle 01. Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me!
The warrenty tag from my books say.
E10 for pick up.
T for 170 6 cyl
H is the Lorain plant,
The rest of the numbers say the truck is a 1963. The number run in consectutive order since manufacturing started in 61. So that looks about mid to late 63.
Merlynyr the T code says you have a 170 eng. J code is a 240 engine that were installed in 65 and newer. The S code is for a 200 6 cyl also installed in 65 and newer.
Rossbeal I will try and decode for you.
My books do not show a E16 for 61to67 Econolines.
Also the same for the A. which is susose to be the engine size.
The H is the lorain assembly plant.
The B I have no idea.
The other numbers are suspose to be the sequence the van was manufactured in.
Are these numbers from a newer Econoline than 61-67's. ?
For they are not in my books and do not look like any I ever seen here before?
It could be. The E15 is the last number my books show. That is up til 65. If newer it may be an added number. Also on the tag with the warrenty number there should be a model number. That can help identify what style of van it is.
Check out Econosarus. There is a Jim Bare on that site from Arkansas that can help you he has lots of info on serial numbers.
