"LIMP MODE" needs Viagra?
Just wondering if it is normal for limp mode to activate while in 4wd? Here is my senario. I put it in 4L and climbed a fairly steep hill diagonaly which activated the limp mode. I have replicated it several times and it still does it. I get it back on flat ground, turn off the engine and it resets.

No, not normal. Turning off and restarting the engine usually resets the limp mode....but only temporarily. Interesting about the 4X thing, as it seems to be a computer related glitch.
You may want to try getting the latest reflash on your truck's computer, and maybe replace the throttle body. That has worked for some, but may or may not help as some of us are just living with the problem until Ford decides to fix it right.
