I hear about you guys talk about your trucks going into limp mode. Late last week while I have been dealing with HFCM issues my truck basically stopped making normal power.
The engine still revs and the turbos are creating boost but the truck will hardly get out of it's own way. Is this "limp mode"? It doesn't make sense to me if it is limp mode, why the engine will still make up to ~2200 RPMs (that is all the harder I pushed it). I would think the limp mode would limit the engine RPMS lower than that.
You are in limp mode. Yes you can get about 2200 rpms but very slow to take off and gain speed. Speed is also only about 50 going downhill with a tail wind.

My 2009 F-250 6.4 is sometimes sluggish for 1-2 minutes after first started before the engine starts to warm up. The engine revs up, but there's little acceleration. No dash lights come on. Does this sound like limp mode?
