Muffled Rear Speaker

So, I just bought a sony cdx-f5500 mp3/cd deck for my '97 ranger from Circuit City and had them install it. I noticed when I got my truck back that the rear speakers were severely muffled, sounded nothing like the front. I had already ordered four infinity 6802cf's from crutchfield and installed them today, but still the same problem. The speakers sound amazing, but my back ones are still severly muffled. Could the install guys at circuit city hooked something up wrong to cause this problem? Thanks for any help guys!

your problem sounds like some of the wires are touching and that is causing the speakers to not be at their fullest capacity. I would take it back and have them fix it. Also consider putting an amp on the infinity's, you would have alot better and clearer sound

For as easy as it is to work on the radio in these trucks, I'd suggest checking it out yourself if Circuit City gives you hassle. I've fixed so many mistakes the previous owner made on my truck that I can pull the stereo in under two minutes. It's terribly easy.
