Well, Monday will be the four week mark of ownership with my 2004 Ranger. I love the truck and all (I miss my F-150 ), but have noticed a few things that bug me. For one, the sun visors. They seem very cheap. Both of them seem to have "bubbled up", meaning, it seems like the cloth material has come undone from the glue holding it together internally. Second, since the truck does not have mudflaps on the front, there are all sorts of rock chips all over my rear fender flares, and finally, the CD player. Don't get me wrong, I love the 6 disc changer, but every time I want to turn the volume up while driving, I always end up pushing the volume button (due to a bump on the road and rough ride), which turns off the CD player. Seems like a sensitive button.
Other than that, I've been real happy with the truck. So far, I've been averaging 16.7 mpg. Hopefully, that will improve within time. Any comments from other 2004 Ranger owners????
As far as that CD changer, dump the entire deck and replace it with a nice quality aftermarket CD player backed up by a CD changer. I think Pioneer makes the sound system for Ford, but it seems to be of lesser quality than their normal retail.

Thanks for the information, guys. I really appreciate it. In regards to the radio, I really want to keep the truck stock. Had a nice Alpine CD/MP3 player in my F-150, but it just didn't compliment the dash. I'll have to swing in to the stealer tomorrow so they can look at the visors.
