Diablo and Check engine light
I have a 98 F150 ext. w/4.6l and in march I got a chip from motorhaven and ever since I have put it in the check engine light has been on. With the chip out the light stays off and because I have to unhook the battery I can't get a code . After 50 miles or so with the chip in light comes on.
Also I know its only a 4.6l but should it be a noticeable differance with the chip? Its not as far as I can tell and it was programed fo 93. I did clean the pins again this last time and still no change if the chip is not working would the truck start anyway? Thanks for your help
