Crush Bar

I think that is what it is called. Question is I'd like to remove the lower plastic valance but that metal bar looks aweful not covered up. Is there a way to remove it.. Or if it is even wise to do so. Thanks...

They remove them when they install plows, so I would say you can throw it out.
But if you happen to crush a small yugo and proceed to drive over it, your insurance company may not be happy it was removed....or the guy driving the little car.

Does it just unbolt or is it welded?

It just unbolts...

When I put my aftermarket bumber on I tried it with and without. Took opinois here at work and they all liked it better with it on. Looks wierd with out it. I plan, someday, to weld up the ends and give it a little more finished look.
