Adjustable Trac bar Fix the problem?

Adjustable Trac bar Fix the problem?
My early' 99 SD has a 6" lift and the steering has been sqeaking and groaning. I removed the factory trac bar and measured the bolt holes where the bar is located then I measured the trac bar, the trac bar is shorter than the bolt holes. Can this be the problem? If so where can I purchase an adjustable trac bar to rectify the annoying problem.
