OD Light on, code 632

I have a '95 XLT 4.0 AT. The OD light is blinking while driving. I pulled the codes which revealed code 632. My code manual says 632 is 'Overdrive Cancel Switch/no action during engine run self test'. Any idea what that means?? If I disconect the battery, the OD light will go out, but it comes back on in a couple of days. I'm sure I need to repair/replace something, but I'm not sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

OD Light on, code 632

You may already know this but the transmission control switch is basically the overdrive on/off button at the end of your shift lever. You may want to check the fuse, 10 amp (designated V) in the engine compartment fuse panel. You can also pry off the cover on the end of the shift lever and pull out the TCS. If you have a voltmeter you can check for voltage at one of the pin sockets in the end of the shift lever. Make sure the ignition is on but the engine is not running. You can also check the pins for continuity. Make sure the switch is depressed. If no continuity replace the TCS.
