The new F150 project

my other project has really lost my interest so i had to move on. I also need to put pics together for my senior project, but anyway...

Future plans:
SAS and more lift (not sure yet how much)
maybe some extended radius arms if im feeling baller
351w/e4od swap w/67,000 miles out of the old project (crane 444232 cam and pacesetter LT's on the way)
clean up the interior
maybe some paint when everything else is done

found this truck for $400 a few months ago, and it's the only pic of it stock

it is a 230,000 mile 92 4x4 regular cab longbed with 302/e4od combo

I had already bought a lift for the other project so the first thing on the list was to lift it. The ttb was kind of a PITA but i eventually got it right

after ripping the ttb out i torched out the radius arm brackets/holes

Comparison of the 6in springs and stock

and magically DONE! sitting on the rollers

Just finished buffing

little better... and waiting on headlights

Finally got headlights! and many many bumper to tire clearance issues

Ripped the bumper off got it a little dirty and scored some 2in coil spacers for $30. with intense camber issues at first

Finally washed and bumper on

Tried outsome 35 boggers on 10 wides

I had an extra ford grill sooooo cut the ford symbol off and did some sanding, got some hate for this... but i like it

painted the inserts gloss black and just pulled the tape off

Finished

just waiting for cleaning up to go in

i know a lot more pics than work... more updates soon
LMK what you think

Looks pretty good. That wouldn't even be street legal here with the tires sticking out so far, you would be required to put on fender flares. Be prepared to go through ball joints too with that big an offset on the rims!

oooh i see, when i sas my truck im planning on 35s may end up a tad bit bigger but who knows what the wallet will permit. ill be lookin at trans/tcase, axles, rims, and driveshaft.
but also with 35s they allow for a little more flex then larger tires would. when you put the s.a in what are you planning to do with the radius arms and brackets? using stock pring bucket or 78 style?

i am honestly trying to do the SAS as cheap as possible...

-im going to try to find a cheap pre-97 F350 draglink.
-use the stock 78 top trac bar mount and weld it to the frame
-make my own trac bar or find a bent one to keep the stock axle mount so i dont have to cut up the crossmember
-im using my stock coil buckets, but i might lower them for more lift
-going to try to use the 6in TTB coils and make custom mounts to fit them to the axle
- not sure how im doing the radius arms... some people have told me i can use the rough country drop brackets, some have told me that i cant... also im not sure if i need to move them back a few inches or not.

i definitely still need to do some research. is yours 2wd?

Stavey, you do realize those tail lights are ILLEGAL, right?

DOT standards list a taillamp as having a certain portion size dedicated to red reflectors....Look at mine....They're smoked/clears, but still have the red reflectors....Yeah yeah, I know, the all white/clear tails you have look great, and they do....Just saying...They're a GOOD way to lose''m in a rear end collision....And THEN get a fine for have illegal tails....

Just a thought to mull over....

Anywho....Nice truck overall...
