Dome Light Stays On!

I Went To The Nascar Race In Michigan This Weekend And Rented A Car. Came Back On Monday And My Dome Light In My Bronco Wont Shut Off. The Door Lights Stay On, The Light Behind The Outside Tempature Display And The Dome Light Stays On While Driving. When I Turn The Motor Off And Step Out They All Still Stay On. I Have To Disconnect My Battery So I Wont Drain It. Anybody Have Any Ideas That Will Help Me. 1994 Eb 302

check the door switch??

your light switch *** turns right or left. this is how you turn on your dome light while your in the rig with the door closed. I would check this first, then if that doesnt fix this then start tracing wires maybe one is grounding out or something.

its now turning off when i shut the door. i think it is the door switch, priced at 9.99. i will replace it and see what happens.it has a mind of its own.
