'99 Explorer, won't go into low range
My wife drives a '99 Explorer Sport, with a 5spd.(don't know if that matters) It has 35k on it, and hasn't really been off-roaded. Anyhow, the thing won't go into 4-low. The dash lights will indicate it, but it's definatley not in low range. Any sugestions?

MY 99 is an auto but the dealer told me you have to shift to nuetral and put the selectorin low and a slight movement of the vehicle in gear would move it ...Good luck also look above the driver compartment on the other side of the vanity mirror should be instructions

Not to sound snotty or anything, it's not that I don't know how to put it low range, it just doesn't engage. Even if I let the Explorer roll a little, it doesn't seem to make a difference
