7.3 powerstroke warranty

been reading posts from this site for several months now and have found a lot of heplfull information. i have recently purchased a 97 f250 7.3 powerstroke with 60k miles. i am wondering if i still have a warranty on the engine. a friend mentioned that ford gave a 100k mile warranty on the engine. i know the vehicle warranty has expired. previous owner had the standard waranty of 3/36k. thanks for any information you may have.

thanks for the reply. i thought the warranty thing was too good to be true. well, with good maintenance can i expect to get several 100k miles out of this engine?? and by the way, this thing just loves to tow my boat. power is unbelievable

I love my 1997 as well. It's great that you found one with such low mileage.

60K? That truck is barely broken in. My '02 almost has 56K...

Have fun, take care of it. With proper maintenance it will treat you well.
