Hi folks, not sure if I'm posting in the right forum or not but I will try here first.
I own a 90 F150 302 EFI . The problem I have is the engine runs fine on start up and accelerates normally. However, once engines warms up then acceleration is very sluggish and I have to feather the throttle to get speed up.If I give it lots of throttle the engine really bogs. However during winter months this problem does not occur. Any ideas or possible scenarios would be greatly appreciated!
I don't come hear alot so I don't know if this giving product names are bad. If it is an injector problem, the only thing over the counter that I know without a doubt will clean it is "SeaFoam" from NAPA. The only place I have ever seen it sold is NAPA. I have used this products on many apps. and have always had great sucess.
Wow, that's kind of strange. I was going to post something asking if anyone ever used this SeaFoam stuff (I've seen it mentioned in here before), and then stumbled on this post. How does it work? I heard that it was 2 bottles ad it sounds like there's some sort of process involved, but it also sounds like this stuff cleans pretty hardcore. Could you tell me more about your using it?
I would see if tehre are any codes in the computer first off. If you don't know the process, you can find an explanation at http://fordfuelinjection.com and click on "Getting Codes." It sounds maybe like a temperature sensor problem, which you can test for with a voltmeter.
SeaFoam is pertrolem based so you can put it in oil or fuel. The only thing you have to do is buy one bottle. You use it the same as you would a normal fuel injector cleaner, just pour it in the tank. If I know its got alot of dirt I'll put a bottle to 1/2 tank instead of a full tank. The first time I used it was in a 95 Altima, put 1/2 in the tank and 1/2 in the oil, started the car and it instantly died. Don't know what it was, started back up and got 3mpg gain out of that tank of gas. I've used it alot and it is awsome. Wish I could get paid to go around demoing this stuff. Any other questions you can email me.

I would start with what EPNCSU2006 mentioned. It does sound like a sensor problem...like an O2 sensor when the PCM goes into closed loop....but pull the codes first, if it was an injector problem then it would probably do it at any engine temp.
