Lightbulb Spare Tire Mount

Where do youns mount the spare tire (those of you with bigger tires) I just got 6 BFGs A/Ts 35x12.5x16.5 mounted on Outlaw II Rims (1/2 tread-$550). Couldn't pass it up.
Now I'm wondering where to mount the spare. Does anyone make a hitch-spare carrier? Fab a bigger bracket for the stock mount? Or does everyone just strap in the box?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Also I noticed the load rating of the rim - 2500lbs. (way below the 3300lb rating of the tire) I don't do alot of hauling, but I do tow, but I don't think it'll be a problem. Why make such a rim with a low load rating??

I doubt those 35" will fit under your truck where your stock location is. most people put it in the bed with some type of tire carrier in the bed like those prerunner style ones. most come in and out of the bed so you can utilize it when needed. i would just strap it down but its more prone to theft unless you devise away for locking it. maybe run a cable with a padlock mounted to the bed. thats the only problem going with bigger tires is the spare.

your rims should be fine, i wouldn't worry about it unless your gonna exceed 10,000 lbs combined weight with your truck and the load!

I put mine in the front of the box standing straight up. I used an old square u-bolt from when I put a lift kit on a chevy. It hooks to a hole in the bedrail, and then a nut screws down through one of the holes in the wheel. It doesn't move offroading or anything, and takes up minimal room. If you look in my pics of when I took it out, you can see it in the side of the bed.

Ingenious! I'm keeping it in the box for now
I'm going to try and fab a bracket to mount it underneath.

I looked at that, too. I thought about using one of the newer models that have a crank and winch. To me, they are a lot nicer than that bar setup the 70s had. The problem is mounting it under the gas tank. Still, I am pondering it
