Some of you may remember my ordering fiasco with Electric Life. In a nutshell, the distributor said the power window conversion kit they have listed for the 04 F150 would not fit one with 4 doors, and the manufacturer said they would. So I figured I'd trust the manufacturer and placed the order a second time.
Good news, the kit fits perfectly in the 04 F150. I did the passengers door yesterday, gonna do the drivers and wiring today. I plan on taking lot of pics while doing the drivers door, and putting together an instruction sheet for the kit (the one that comes with the kit is generic). Fairly easy to install, the hardest part so far was getting the wiring harness through the door boot (fuse box sits directly over the hole!). If anyone wants more info, just let me know. I'll post the instruction sheet once I get it done so you can decide if you want to tackle this one.
It was $239 for the regulators and motors for both doors, and another $49 for the switch kit and wiring. Make sure you order a switch kit cuz our trucks aren't wired for it, and the window kit itself does not include the wiring. Oh yeah, and $2.50 for a set up plugs to cover the manual crank holes. Shipping was free so it came to a grand total of $292.40.
Pretty good deal and the parts appear to made by the same company that makes them for Ford. Part numbers match up.
You can get to the plugs from the switch page. If you scroll down the page you'll see recommended accessories. I'm still working on the instruction sheet, once I get it done, I'll post it.
75 player - thanks for all this info. Im glad someone got this done before i did and researched all this stuff. In other words, thanks for being the guinea pig. I'll be ordering Monday.
Sorry for the delay guys. The pictures I took during the install have somehow "magically" disappeared from my camera after my wife used it. So, I'm gonna pop one of the door panels off tonight and retake the pics. Hopefully I'll have something for ya in the next day or two.
where did you get your ignition 12v's I read it was supposed to be a grey wire with a yellow stripe at least on the 2003 but I don't see it on the 2004.

I wasn't able to find an ignition 12V under the dash that could handle the 20 amps required by the motors. So for right now they're wired hot all the time. I will be installing a 12V accessory relay this weekend that will be able to handle that current load and probably a little extra. That way the switched 12V only has to trigger the relay. Pics are coming soon....

I got the radioshack 30A Automotive relay, and I got it all working. Unfortunetly the ignition singal that goes into the radio was only around 10V's not enough to trip the switch so I had to get the lead off the radio that goes to the power antenna / amp. Then everything worked fine.
