The fact is that he has no need for this rig and I do...We went to high school together so I know him well. Also, he definitely doesn't know what he has- he's the type of guy who buys a car/truck to impress someone, not because of how it can perform- when he's tired of a vehicle he gets rid of it asap! Thanks for the input ya'll!

i figured you would find a better deal, ive been looking for an older diesel truck for a while, the other day i found a 87 F350 regular cab dually with a 6.9 5 speed, it had been repainted 2 years ago with brand new tires and looks great the only downfall was it used a quart of oil every 100 miles, i ended up picking the truck up for $2300, you couldnt ask for a truck in any better condition. good luck diesels are fun
