2003 E150 Belt Squeek

We're having a problem with the belt making a quick squeek each time the air conditioning compressor cycles on. The dealer replaced the belt and idler under warranty but that changed nothing. On the second visit the dealer told us the noise was normal. It may be normal but we just got back from a 3000 mile trip and the noise was annoying when you heard it every minute or two for 12 hours at a time. Anyone care to comment on this?

Check the compressor pully ribs and see if they might be slick from a lubricant. Thoroughly clean them.
You could try some belt dressing. kinda like a sticky spray.
