Yep. All of the great ones are passing on. I sure never thought that Ray would go this early. I never knew that he had a severe health condition. I guess that you just don't hear everything though.

R.I.P Ray.

Question

He'll certainly be missed. He was truly a great musician. They've been playing his stuff all night on the radio. I didn't think he would go this young either, but I guess sometimes thats the way it is Rest in Peace

A unique musician, a unique American. If you can listen to his rendition of "America the Beautiful" without it bringing a tear to your eye- well, then I'd rather not know you.

God's speed, Ray. We'll miss you, but thanks for all the great music you left for us to enjoy.

I wish I had more of his music, there's not much that I don't like.

Great voice, great musicianship, but most of all, great passion.

He'll be missed.

first Louis went in 71, then the Duke in 74 and now Ray. Though it dates me: they were artists and musicians. Whatever is produced these days, mostly just hurts my ears. I shall never understand why musicians now have to introduce 4-letter words in their songs; maybe it is because their songs ain't worth much.

Then the passing of Ronald Wilson Reagan:
You gave us hope when we despaired.
You gave us confidence when we doubted.
You took the load of a global nuclear war from our shoulders.
Thank you from the bottom of our heart, Mr. President.
